On December 7, 2010 Google announced, via its YouTube Channel live stream, that it would be unveiling the Chrome Web Store. The Chrome Web Store is an online marketplace, similar to its Android counterpart, where user are able to discover thousands of web apps, extensions and themes for the Google Chrome browser. A lot of these functionalities will also be available within the new Google Chromium OS notebooks slated for release within the coming months.

Among the various topics of discussion, during the live stream which took place yesterday, was the concept of application developers having access to the largest app marketplace in the world, thus far. The representatives at Google made it apparent that selling  apps on their new network could prove advantageous to application developers.  Google announced that roughly 120 Million users now use their Chrome browser, with inferences that the Chromium OS could eventually reach those same heights. Because the Chrome OS will be the first of its kind I would tend to agree with Google.

Application developers are encouraged to visit the Chrome Web Store and sign up as an App developer. Users, utilizing either Google Chrome or the Chrome OS, have the ability to install Apps, pending that they have a Google account.

One of the main highlights of the online presentation was the professed speed of the Google Chrome and Chrome OS software. As more and more technology is heading towards cloud computing, marketers will more than likely take advantage of increases in Google product usage. More savvy marketing firms will advertise their brand from within web apps, in addition to traditional search engine marketing methods.

Apps like Google Docs will still support word-processing and other features besides simple entertainment.

I think this is more to have this up and running when the Chrome OS launches than anything. Also, I believe Google is planning to support other third-party plug-ins aside from Flash. I believe I read that Unity and Silverlight would eventually be supported.

I use Internet Explorer to attend my online high school, but I would much rather be using Google Chrome. Internet Explorer always finds a way throughout the day to set me back in my school work and i’m sick of it. Is there a way to fool my school’s server that i’m using Internet Explorer when i’m using chrome?

None of the apps in the Chrome Web App store have any sort of app where I can take notes with different bullets and different indents. This would be a helpful feature on my Google CR-48 notebook, seeing as it doesn’t have Office or OpenOffice for these features.

Hi Friend. As a suggestion I would say to vlog about social issues that are affecting your demographic. Be advised not to put anything on the net that you wouldn’t want to adequately represent what you stand for. I hope this helps?

Hi friend. When dealing with payments online I would say that no one web platform or browser is completely safe against security breaches. I would advise to use your own best judgement. I can say, however, that I have used Chrome with little to no problems whatsoever.

Be advised that those reading this may have experiences that are not similar to my own. Thoughts on this anyone?
