Mobile Advertising Explained – 5 Great Websites To Get You Started
Today I’d like to talk about mobile advertising and its impact within the realm of internet marketing. Mobile advertising, to me, is like the next step for Internet Marketers who’ve “wet their feet” with adverts on the various website content networks. What is mobile advertising and what impact can it have for your business?
Well, for those experienced with online marketing, please skip this next paragraph and scroll down to the 4 great mobile advertising networks that I’ve provided for you. All else, please follow along here as I give a little background into our subject.
Before devices like the iPhone and iPad an internet marketer was limited in her/his advertising reach within the global community. I mean, sure enough, you could still target major search engines for organic or paid traffic, but that has always been limited by 1 thing. The home computer desktop or laptop. With this framework in mind, one could only target prospective customers when they were at home, work or possibly on an airline flight that permitted the use of computers.
With the advent of mobile devices like the iPhone, the floodgates were more or less opened and allowed for the targeting of prospective customers while they were “on the go”. The key to a good internet marketing strategy is to provide a useful service to someone exactly when they’re looking for it. With mobile advertising, your chances of making an online conversion (sale) have more than doubled.
With the unveiling of the new iPhone 4g, Internet, network and MLM marketers are encouraged to attempt the acquisition of a global audience. What better way to get international exposure to one’s online/offline business than to run offers and commercials on mobile networks. I’ve done this on several occasions and have seen a literal increase in visitors to my various websites overnight and in the THOUSANDS (per day).
While we’re on the subject of the iPhone 4g, and why you should advertise on it, please check out this great article I found online:

The one drawback to mobile advertising is that it’s a paid service much like the Google Adwords platform. The upside to this, however, is that offline and online businesses can, when done correctly, see an overnight change in their business exposure. Increases in profit and exposure can be done at an affordable cost for the most part.
Don’t have your own business? Or, more importantly, are you marketing other peoples businesses as an affiliate marketer? Then Mobile advertising can also work for you as well. Most Mobile Ad networks have interfaces for the creation of ad copy that is pretty much similar to most content network advertising platforms. Title, body and affiliate links can be placed accordingly as well as links pointing to YouTube videos (or whichever video platform that you’re using).
When thinking of marketing as a multi-faceted concept, there really is no one right way to go about it. As times and technologies change, it is up to the Internet marketer to adapt and overcome to the changing times. A good rule of thumb is to have more than one aspect of marketing your business ready so that you can test which method works and which methods need to be revised.
The following is my list of recommended mobile advertising networks, that will help to get you started making money online sooner than later (smile).
Admob – With over 225 Billion global impressions (ad views) served, this is on the top of my mobile advertising lists. They have a very easy to understand interface and have programs available for advertisers, app developers, publishers and media agencies.
JumpTap – Similar to Admob, JumpTap offers mobile advertising solutions for publishers, advertisers and mobile operators. There success has come from their ability to deliver relevant ads next to the content on their networks. JumpTap, like Admob, has also partnered with big-name companies across various industries.
Videoegg – This mobile advertising company specialises in technology and services. They provide business with brand protection and unique media advertising platforms that act to build engagement with a company’s primary audience.
Millenial – Millenial Media has the largest reach of the U.S. mobile advertising network (85%). Like the other ad networks, this is also a platform that comes highly recommended.
Quattro – Quatrro Wireless has an excellent ad platform and functionality to direct link to m-commerce sites like Amazon.com. Any Amazon.com affiliates out there (smile)?
Hopefully these tools get you started on your journey to expand your business reach to a global level. With just these 5 tips, you’re in a better position to expand your offline/online marketing efforts.
To your continued success,
Eric Nathaniel Jones
